Client Overview
ChickBait is a unique fried chicken restaurant located in Canggu, Bali. Their vision was to create a dining experience that blended delicious food with a nostalgic tribute to classic arcade games, embracing a distinct pixel art and 8-bit aesthetic.

The Challenge
ChickBait sought to launch their new restaurant with a bold and memorable brand identity that perfectly captured their arcade-themed concept. This involved not only creating a distinctive visual language but also developing all the necessary physical assets for their restaurant, from signage to menus. The core challenge was to infuse every element with creativity and innovation, ensuring their brand stood out in a competitive market and truly embodied their unique theme.

Our Solution
We embarked on a comprehensive branding and design project, delivering a suite of creative assets that brought ChickBait’s vision to life:
- Iconic Logo and Mascot Design: We crafted a striking logo featuring a chicken head mascot, designed in a pixel art style. The key color palette was centered around a vibrant hot pink, ensuring immediate recognition and a playful, energetic feel that resonated with the arcade theme.
- Full Business Asset Creation: Our team developed all the essential assets required for the business launch, including:
- Eye-catching signs for the restaurant exterior and interior.
- Engaging posters to promote their offerings.
- Innovative menus that served as a central piece of their unique branding.
- Unique Character Development: To symbolize ChickBait’s four distinct fried chicken flavors, we designed four unique chicken characters. These characters were styled as old-school fighting game characters, drawing inspiration from iconic titles like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Each character was given a memorable, flavor-inspired name:
- Demon-Reaper
- Paprik-Attack
- Cayenne-Fury
- Flavour-Voidence These characters added a fun, thematic layer to the brand, enhancing customer engagement and memorability.
- Groundbreaking Menu Design: Perhaps the most innovative element was the menu design, conceptualized as an old PS2 game case. We produced custom-printed DVD cases, complete with a “game disc” inside, and transformed the traditional game instruction booklet into the actual menu. This highly unique approach provided an interactive and memorable experience for customers, unlike any other restaurant menu.
